Because they don't want you to see the light, they like watching you squirm, but what they really want is to keep you squirming so that you will not notice the ecscape and the freedom before it is too late. The main thing is: YOU ARE NOT ALONE, AND THERE IS AN ECSCAPE. I know, I've been there and I've been rescued.
They're torturing, murdering, scheming little players of a Game we can't even comprehend. And you want to worry about why you? Heh. This is cute.
